God is real

God is real

Poem by Amira Haddad

The love from God is real

His presence, so holy

There is nothing He cannot heal

For I am considered a defect to many

Like a walking dead

But to Christ, I am worth every penny

I cannot believe the major changes

It seems surreal and strange

But in His perfect plan

Jesus saved me from iniquity

All these years

Filled with nothing but painful tears

Abandoned by others

Left in the ditch

Enhancing my uniqueness

Yet, accused of being a witch

All these years

There was an outcry on expression

Isolated, laughed at

Sinking in deep depression

Feeling empty and weak

For His undying wisdom I will seek

I praise you O’ Lord

I thank you for being so tender

Gentle with your voice and touch

Weaken in flesh, I will surrender

No matter what crimes I’ve committed

You will forgive and forget

 Yet

I still have many regrets

I cannot take Your grace for granted

Many times, I rebelled Your word

But the seed has finally been planted

Your grace is sufficient

I need no worldly things

Get behind me Satan

I am no longer your puppet with strings

For God loves me deeply

Now sanctified

Away from total chaos

The Lord reminds me to be satisfied

Nowhere else to go

But only You my God

Only you can mould me into a perfect dough

The joy in my heart is your presence

There is like no other

You have never once forgotten me

The love is greater than any mother

I praise You my Lord

I thank you for showing me real love

Once defiled

Now innocence as a dove

You have remembered my name

Not my past transgressions or sin

Nor my identity as lame

You comfort me in difficult times

Keeping my sanity

Despite the total chaos in humanity

I praise You Lord

For changing my life showing to many

And to be this living testimony

Amen!
